The Fashion Contest

It was finally the day of the fashion contest, and Abigail, THE FASHION QUEEN of the moment, was super duper excited. She was the all-time winner of the fashion contest. Every year, Abigail would win first place. She thought it was a fun contest because she always could tell who was going to win by their clothes. She loved the contest … until now. Now there was a new contestant participating. Her name was Kaytlen. Kaytlen had been titled THE FASHION QUEEN in America for 10 years in a row.

From the clothes that Kaytlen was wearing, Abigail knew that this year she had some big competition. When they were all making their clothes, Abigail peered over at Kaytlen’s area and saw that her design was a better design than her own. Kaytlen had added sequins, pearls, and frills to her dress. When Abigail saw Kaytlen’s design and knew it was going to be better than hers, she felt extremely worried. She knew she would have to work hard this year to earn that title. Abigail was so busy staring at Kaytlen the whole time that she didn’t even realise the time was nearly up. Abigail started to panic and was so stressed out.

When she saw that there were only two minutes left, she quickly sewed and attached everything to her dress, but it ended up looking like a pigsty. When the judges were announcing the winners, Abigail started to cry because her dress looked the messiest. Just as she expected, Kaytlen won first place. Her dress was perfectly neat and also had lots of glitter. Although Abigail’s dress looked messy, she still got a ribbon that said, ‘The Messiest Dress Ever!’ When she received it, everybody was laughing, including herself.
