✨Magic & Mystery✨
Submit to our 2025 Young Writers’ Anthology!
A Publication by Kids at Words of a Feather
Submissions open July 14th!
Let your creativity cast its spell on the page…
Wonder. Enchant. Discover. Reveal. Transform.
What secrets hide in the shadows of your imagination? What mysteries await behind closed doors, under staircases, or in forgotten corners? Can you capture the moment when the ordinary becomes extraordinary?
We're seeking spellbinding new writings from young authors for our 2025 Writ-Bits anthology - a magical collection returning by popular demand after a 3-year hiatus. Since 2015, we've celebrated the incredible creativity of the young writers who take part in our programs, and we're thrilled to continue the tradition this year with new writings that shimmer with magic and mystery.
Whether your tale features wizards and witches, unsolved puzzles, magical creatures, or mysterious happenings in everyday places, we want to read it!
Short stories, poetry, and creative writing of all kinds are welcome from writers aged 7 - 15 who have participated in any Words of a Feather workshop, program, or initiative in 2025.
Illustrations and comics are also welcome (please see guidelines below).
The magic begins with your words! We can’t wait to find out what you come up with.
Submissions close September 12th, 2025.
