Amy Han author photo by Farrah Allan

Hi, I’m Amy.

I’m a writer, storyteller, traveller, interdependent leader, dog-mum, and the founder of Words of a Feather - a creative studio for writers of all ages.

I have published four books of fiction and personal essays. My writing has appeared in several online and print publications, and has been recognised in local and national writing awards. My latest novel, The Yard Sale at Story House, was published in January 2024.

In 2011, I founded Creative Write-it, a workshop space to inspire and encourage young writers (the dream space I never had!). Now operating under the name Words of a Feather , I continue to work with writers of all ages in Melbourne and around the world.

When I am not writing or teaching, there's a good chance you'll find me reading, practising l'art du déplacement, or outdoors with my fluffy golden-girl, Nala.
